JUNODEF
Junodef are a Swedish-born London-based band known for creating dark dreamscapes and haunting harmonies, with their music sitting somewhere between doomsday pop and art rock.
Recently bidding farewell to best friend and drummer Norea, Junodef now operate as a two-piece with a rotating drummer for live shows. The duo consists of Karin Grönkvist (guitar/vocals) and Tyra Örnberg (bass/vocals), who originally formed the band during their high school days in Lund. They relocated to the UK in 2016, and have since shared the stage with Editors across Europe and supported notable acts such as Blonde Redhead, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Goat Girl.

Whilst becoming a firm favourite on London’s live music scene, Juno released a series of singles to finally share their brand new EP Catastrophical in 2023. The 6-track EP sees Junodef questioning their ways of living, on both a societal and individual level, and was recorded in the Welsh countryside in a remote studio with sound engineer Joy Stacey (Arcade Fire, The Smile) and mixed by legendary metal producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, At The Gates)

Junodef have previously performed sold-out headline shows at some of London's most iconic venues such as the Windmill Brixton and Paper Dress Vintage, and been a part of important fundraisers for non-profit collectives such as Sister Midnight.
To support the EP release Juno went on UK and Sweden tour including a launch show as part of the Rough Trade Recommends initiative.
Their tour was finacially supported by publishing and royalty collection society Sentric, who awarded Junodef their live fund.
